Founder's statement

My name is Desire Ngendahayo, a Rwandan and father to Ethan Yoann Ngendahayo, a 6-year-old British child currently living in the UK.Children and young people, especially in low-income countries, are facing many challenges, most of which are exacerbated by poverty and its effects such as malnutrition and diseases. Many families are poor and consequently can’t afford to provide the basic necessities of life as expected. Many children are out of school, and many others continue to suffer from learning struggles, developmental and societal issues, as well as ignorance and neglect. To be part of the solution, and out of my strong passion for children's welfare, in January 2022, I created a charity organization that advocates and provides healthcare, education, as well as social support to vulnerable children and young people in Rwanda and Ethiopia, naming it after my son as Ethan Yoann Foundation. We have been conducting a number of charitable activities, and our support has significantly improved the quality of life of many vulnerable children and their families in Rwanda and Ethiopia.
